This course includes the following statistical methods: loglinear analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis, path analysis, structural equation modelling.
Communication Skills (MRes Psychology)
This module includes the following topics: writing skills, presentation (oral, poster, web-based), how to deal with the media.
Professional Skills (MRes Psychology)
This module includes the following topics: Ethical and legel issues, exploitation of research findings, application for research grants, project management, teaching skills, pratical career advice (e.g. job searching, applications form and CVs, job interview).
An introduction to formal modelling: From perception to social interaction (MRes Cognition and Computational Neuroscience)
Lectures will cover the main approaches of formal modelling in psychology and cognitive neuroscience, including mathematical models, computational models and agent-based models. Students will have computer-based training in application of these models and seminar-based workshop sessions discussing formal models.
