The Thalamo-Cortical Feedback-System: A Nonlinear Network-Model for Binocular Interaction
The nonlinear mathematical model is based on principles of cortical and subcortical architecture and describes binocular interaction in the thalamo-cortical feedback-system. The results of the simulations can be related to psychophysical experiments such as spatial hysteresis, Panum's fusion area, lateral inhibition and binocular rivalry.
